While making Valentine's Day crafts today, a boy in my grade one class told me of when he fell in love once. "I was in love with a girl last year," he told me. "We're not in the same class anymore. I don't know if I still remember what she looks like." What could I say to a six-year-old about love? I told him it can be hard, to be in love with someone. He replied, "I know, Miss Deitcher. That's the thing about Cupid's bow. You never know when you'll get hit by it."
And ain't that the truth.
